Bharat Scouts & Guides (BS&G)
Scouting and Guiding are
youth movements focused on personal development, citizenship, and community service, with a global reach

They aim to develop character, self-reliance, and leadership skills through a variety of activities like camping, hiking, social service, and community development.
The Bharat Scouts & Guides is the national organization in India, founded in 1909 for scouting and 1911 for guiding.
Key Features:
Voluntary and Non-Political:
Scouting and Guiding are voluntary movements open to all, regardless of origin, race, or creed, and are non-political.
Educational Focus:
The movements aim to contribute to the holistic development of young people, preparing them for responsible citizenship and a constructive role in society.
Character Building:
Scouting and Guiding emphasize character development, self-reliance, and leadership skills through various activities and a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law.

Bharat Scouts & Guides (BS&G):

The BS&G is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, and its mission is to contribute to the education of young people.
National Headquarters:
The national headquarters of the BS&G is located in Lakshmi Mazumdar Bhawan, Indraprastha Estate, New Delhi.
Principles:
The BS&G operates on the principles of Duty to God, Duty to Others, and Duty to Self.

The BS&G uses a progressive self-education method through a Promise and Law, learning by doing, and emphasizing self-reliance and leadership.
